Who we are & what we do:
Pendleton District Historical, Recreational & Tourism Commission is located in Pendleton, South Carolina. However, the Commission serves three counties in Upstate South Carolina. In 1966 Pendleton District Commission was established to collect, preserve and promote the rich history of Oconee, Pickens and Anderson counties, and to promote economic development through tourism in the region. The Commission staff members run a regional visitor center, an agricultural museum and archival research library in the town of Pendleton, South Carolina. Pendleton District Commission also administers and sponsors the South Carolina Century Farms Program. In addition, the Commission organizes and sponsors the Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee.
What is the Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee?
The Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee is an annual juried fine arts and crafts festival that takes place the first full weekend of April. The festival has been named the best juried arts/crafts festival of 5,000 or less in the state of South Carolina. Spring Jubilee has also been named a "Top 20 Event" by Southeast Tourism Society. Spring Jubilee features fine arts & crafts, delicious food and live entertainment!
