The artist, Sam's mom, first picked up a paintbrush when her son was wrongfully convicted. It is virtually impossible to come up with an exact number of wrongful convictions. According to the National Registry of Exonerations, 2,774 people have been exonerated since 1984. Those men and women have lost 24,840 years. That equals to 248 centuries. That's real. Proceeds from the sale of her art will go to fighting for these men and women.
