Gasparilla Music Festival is produced by the non-profit Gasparilla Music Foundation and has been described as a “music festival on a mission.” In addition to producing the festival each year during the second weekend of March, the foundation works year-round supporting music and education through its Recycled Tunes program. Recycled Tunes provides new and used instruments to local Title I elementary schools and has supported over 26 schools in the Tampa Bay area. The foundation receives support from Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and the Florida Department of Cultural Affairs.
