My name is Patti Maley and I love to make things – fabric things, beaded things, woven things, knitted things, crocheted things, stuffed things – you get the idea! In particular, I love to make things that I would personally use or give as gifts to my family and friends.
I taught myself to sew when I was young and picked up knitting and crochet through the years along with other needle arts like cross stitch and embroidery.
In the 90s I was bitten by the collectible teddy bear bug and PM Teddies was born. PM Teddies are my own designs and are strictly for collectors at least 10 years of age due to their small parts.
I have also developed a love of handmade jewelry which led to learning how to make sparkly things. Yes, my girlfriends particularly like the sparkly gifts!
Throughout my life, though, purses have always been my first love – big purses, small purses, framed purses, fabric purses, leather purses – each one has its own beauty.
Most of what you will find in my shop is of my own design and many are one of a kind offerings. However, I occasionally use patterns produced by some very creative designers and credit is always given to those designers in those cases.
I am still currently working full time as a legal assistant/office manager for a Baltimore law firm so my hours for creating more treasures are somewhat limited. Since I do like to keep busy, though, you will see the shop adding a steady flow of items.
