Paula Harris is an award-winning vocalist and band leader, based in the bay area. She currently holds the title of "Best Female Blues Vocalist" in Northern California. Her band is comprised of world-class musicians, many of whom hold Grammy Awards, who have worked with Little Richard, Lou Rawls, Santana, Herbie Hancock, Ramsey Lewis and more. The act came to prominence when they won the Monterey Blues Festivals Battle of the bands and then brought home to the bay area Top Three Honors at the IBC- which if the largest "Battle of the bands competition in the world. They have since been nominated for (and won) numerous blues and music awards, been featured on thousands of radio stations globally, headlined major festivals, and now have a new album coming out early 2019.
They offer a 4 piece format of Piano, Bass and Drums plus vocals and can easily do acoustic shows if there is a piano in place at event venue. Their sound is a synthesis of Blues, Jazz and Soul. Many categorize it as "West Coast Blues" but it does have a more sophisticated sound than the jump and swing elements of jazz usually indicated by that term. The smaller format that still offers a big bang of sound makes them affordable, versatile and popular. The unparallelled level of musicianship delights their audiences and Paula's ability to make even the largest audiences feel like they have been brought into her home for a show makes them the band everyone remembers. Shows are largely comprised of original material peppered with select covers pulled from the genres of Jazz, Blues and Soul.
