Pidjin is an American rock band out of Merritt Island, FL, formed in 2014. The band consists of Jeff Stanton (vocals, guitar, piano), Kurt Lamp (guitar), Seth Chipman (violin), Trey Andrews (bass), and Ryan Perez (drums).
Pidjin began work on Jeff Stanton's original songs, which take on a variety of flavors. A few examples include the very funky "February Brown," a song about a medical student learning how to take a pelvic exam from a zen-like teacher; "Rattlesnakes," a dark and gritty country tune about escaping from the desperate inclinations of a city overcome with debauchery; "Space Song," which takes the listener on an interstellar ride filled with bouncing violin, piano, and guitar hooks; and "Catalyst," a song that pushes the groove so hard that standing still is out of the question. Song after song, Pidjin offers a tight, exciting, and entertaining listening experience.
Hardly a year in, Pidjin has wowed audiences playing clubs and festivals in and out of their hometown, opening for other bands such as the Doobie Brothers, and by keeping a fresh, creative, and strongly crafted sound.
