An evening of contemporary dance. Watch 13 University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) senior contemporary dance major students perform their self-choreographed solos and Larry Keigwin's "Megalopolis" as a culmination of their training program.
Pluck Project is an annual year-long project of UNCSA senior contemporary dance program which mission is to provide students the opportunity to introduce themselves and their works to the arts community in hopes of obtaining a job. The process includes a self-choreographed solo and an ensemble work, which leads to a night of performance in New York City. The students learn not only through performing and choreographing, but also through outreach teaching in local schools, new inventive ways of fundraising, and the technicalities of managing this project and producing the show on their own.
