The Port Townsend Arts Guild is a self-supporting, non-profit arts organization founded April 14th, 1972 by a group of local artists and craftspeople interested in creating a way to earn a living from doing what they loved and to help others to do the same. In addition to having a small store in Port Townsend, the Guild began organizing arts and crafts fairs a few times a year and juried other artists and craftspeople to join them.
The Guild now runs four events a year uses the proceeds from the booth fees to offer scholarships to local high school students continuing their education in the arts and gives financial support to other local non-profit organizations.
