I've been an artist all my life and have been doing oil pastels solely for the past 28 years. Portal Representations was started as a business in 2005 when I retired from teaching at the San Francisco Unified School District. You may see the progression of my artwork on my website. I've saved most of my originals since 1988 and in 2005, I started digitally scanning my artwork. Over the years, I acquainted myself with the process and, through that experience, I developed my aesthetic sensibility concerning the basic elements that go into producing a fine scan. In SF Open Studios, I began selling originals.
