Inspired by Tuscan and Provencal landscapes, Harris reproduces wheel thrown bowls and dishes as well as hand built objects that capture the look and feel of New England summers. Molten sea glass from the Connecticut shore complements some porcelain and stoneware shells. Hand-built plates and trays also capture the feel of the dunes, the sky, the water and sea grass found on the dunes of Cape Cod. Some pieces include iron-rich sand collected from Cape Cod beaches. Summer, surf and sand inspire me.
