Melinda Elena is a powerful, and versatile, Jazz, R&B, Classic Rock, international singer and international songwriter. Born and raised in South Florida, she has been active in the local music scene since her young teens, as the lead vocalist of multiple bands of several different genres. Melinda Elena, now spearheading her own named band, is performing throughout the state and seeking to tour Internationally. She has recently recorded original songs in England with Amy Winehouse's first producer and guitarist Ian Barter. Her originals can be found in all streaming platforms including Spotify.
All the musicians in her band are professional Classic Rock, Blues musicians that have been backing her for many years.
Throughout the years, Melinda Elena has become one of The Palm Beaches best top artists. She has taken part in talent competitions, benefits, charity events, various night clubs, restaurants, amphitheaters, and concert halls throughout South Florida. Melinda has performed with Smashmouth, Matt Stell & David Nail to add to her musical accomplishments.
Melinda began her music career at the age of 16 as a working singer. She began singing at the early age of 3 to her NSYNC CD's and rapidly moved on from there to singing Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles & The Misfits, etc. She gained experience in her school choirs and camps. She took an interest in opera and musical theater and would practice numerous hours per day. After direction from her middle school choir director, she began studying jazz from accomplished world class jazz musicians. Melinda began writing music at a young age and released her first single "Moving On" in 2012.
After a year of hard work and nightly gigs, Melinda participated in South Florida's 107.9 WIRK FM's Red Solo Cup competition. She ended up winning the entire competition and also winning the chance to join country singer, Toby Keith, on stage at the Cruzan Amphitheater and sing his hit song "Red Solo Cup". She performed for an audience of about 25,000 people. She has performed with Smashmouth as well as Matt Stell & David Nail. At that moment Melinda knew for sure she ultimately wanted to become a world touring artist. She is very serious about pursuing her musical career and works to no end to achieve her dreams.
Among many memorable performances, while with the band, Scar of The Tropics, she had the honor of performing with Quiet Riot in August 2013. For a time, she performed with a local band called Elegant Mess WPB till deciding to go on her own with her own named band. Bringing her back to her roots and love Jazz, R&B and Classic Rock.
Melinda Elena is available for hire for tours, clubs, private parties, concerts and special events in all areas.
