I am a self-taught jewelry artisan. There is a tradition in my family for jewlery, my grandfather having had his own shop in which my cousins and I worked. From there stemmed my love of unique, wearable art in the form of jewelry. I work with natural elements such as gemstones, wood, polymer clay, crystals, coral, fresh water pearls. I also love glass in its many forms.
I have done custom jewelry for weddings and other special occasions but most of my pieces are one-of-a-kind. In doing custom work, I believe in gaining insight from the customer so that the product reflects their ideas and inspiration as well as my own. I am personally inspired by Native American, African and Asian art, elements of which appear in my work.
My pieces are moderately priced to provide customers with "affordable elegance".
