Woodworking is a passion of mine. I love the beauty of wood in combination with other hardwoods. I am the type of person that if I would not want it in my home, I will not sell it to anyone. My business name is in memory of my late wife. She is the SS in RSSS Woodworking. I have been vetted to Mayfest in Tulsa, An Affair of the Heart (AAOTH) in Tulsa, Oktoberfest in Tulsa and Home and garden shows in Claremore, Ok and Broken Arrow, Ok.
I do custom work on any of my products-sizes, wood selection and options (juice groove, type of rounded edges, hardware). There are MANY species of wood. Some I have used are walnut, maple, curly maple, cherry, curly cherry, black mesquite, Patagonia rosewood, paduk, canary wood, lingnum vitae, sapele, Peruvian walnut, wenge and bloodwood. My cutting boards are made from the end grain of the wood to provide the highest quality that can be passed down to generations. The end grain will not dull knives as face or edge grain will. This is due to the end gain fibers being loose instead of rigid. I also make Charcuterie boards, lazy susans and stovetop covers. These are all made from the face grain of the wood. All items are ready to use when you receive them as they are hand sanded to 1200 grit, treated with food grade mineral oil and finally coated with a combination mineral oil/carnauba wax/bees wax to seal the surface.
Cutting boards come with rubber feet and routed in handles. Charcuterie boards come with cabinet style handles and rubber feet. Lazy susans come with ball bearing base for easy turning. Stove top covers are strictly made to order.
I also do custom CNC and Laser work. I can do CNC or laser work on any product I make. I laser engraved a pirate's face on a large Charcuterie board for a company as well as initials and a deer on a cutting board.
