I have been taking old engine parts primarily from motorcycles and making decorative table and desk lamps for the gearhead. They have a practical aspect of illumination and the appeal of being made from antique motorcycle parts. I use mostly engine parts and try to keep each lamp brand specific. BMW, Ducati, Montessa, Bultaco, Yamaha, Penton, and many others have come from my home based shop in Texas. My customers are all over the USA including Alaska. I've always riden and worked on my own motorcycles. I was also a Lighting Director and Director of Photography for many years and have found a relaxing way to combine those interests. Much of my recent work has been commissioned work since slowing down some as I have gotten older. I still ride more than I work.
