I have been involved with hobby wood working most of my life. My shop has most of the modern tools neccessary to make furniture and crafts. The tool I like best is my lathe. Most of the wood I turn is FOG wood, or, found on the ground. That is one of the benifits of the lathe, so much wood out there left on the ground.
I do bowls, lidded vessels, vases, serving trays, salad bowls and other items.
I also delve into repurposing items and using salvaged materials from a salvage yard. With the reclaimed wood, mostly heart pine, I'll make things such as wine bottle racks of different types and dimensions, small tables, clocks and more.
Reimagining things is also something I like to do. Finding a piece of small furniture or a window frame and bringing them back to life in another way.
