The Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) discovers and empowers filmmakers. Held in Providence, and locations throughout the state of Rhode Island, RIIFF became an Oscar qualifying film festival in 2001, and also qualifies films for the BAFTA and the Canadian Screen Awards. RIIFF incorporates gala celebrations, premiere screenings, VIP guests, industry seminars, educational programs, and award ceremonies into a weeklong extravaganza.
