Rich Reich is a solo singer, guitarist and performer. His music can best be described as “Classic Rock”, Album Oriented Rock (AOR) or Adult Alternative. Among his many influences are Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, The Beatles, The Who, Neil Young, James Taylor, Elton John, Harry Nillson, Peter Gabriel, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and more.
With his song writing , Rich does his best to push the boundries of traditional sounding Rock Music. He dabbles in everything from ethnic sounding folk, blues and country to loud grungy alternative Rock. There aren't many styles that he hasn't listened to or borrowed from. Everything he hears that appeals to him, he incorporates in to a style that is uniquely his own.
To date, Rich has two CD releases to his credit. “The Reich Project” and “In Your Face” respectively. He is planning to record a new CD to be released before the end of 2017.
Rich currently travels up and down the California Coast performing as a solo acoustic performer where ever he can find an audience. In his solo act, Rich plays and sings original arrangements of popular songs from all styles, genre's and era's on solo acoustic guitar and voice. This type of performance can be done with or without a PA system and is perfect for house concerts or small intimate venues where excessive volume is a concern.
For larger venues , Rich performs with his band “Rich Reich's Therapy”which is a full band including a bass player, second guitarist and percussionist. This type of performance works best in rooms where the band can crank it up a bit.
