I am a small time quilter, with a very large love of the art. My name is Dona Rivas and I have been sewing since I was 7 years old. (Many Years). My grandmother was a tailor, and I was the daughter she never had. Not only do I design and make quilts, I also do table runners, wall hangings and assorted other household products. ( pot holders, kitchen towels, scrubbies, even pillow covers). If I can make it with fabric, yarn and thread I will try. I also have my own longarm quilting machine, which is every quilters dream machine. I do not use computer designed quilting programs. I prefer to do free form designs, it makes my quilts a lot more personal. When I sell a quilt, gift a quilt, or donate to a hospital I feel as part of me goes with the quilt.
