I produce and handcraft scented candles, other candle items, including crochet rose bloom centerpieces. I currently have a website that is updated on a daily basis. The name of my business is MuntyRose Candle Company. The name comes from two of the closet people in my life. Munty came from my Great Nephew who could not pronounce the word Monkey, while we were watching a cartoon and singing together. He just turned 3 years old. The next day, he saw me and pointed and called me Munty (Monkey). Despite my shock, I thought it was cute, he remembered me from our time together. So now he calls me Munty and no one else is allowed to. Rose came from my one and only Granddaughter whose name is Rosalie. So I wanted something unique and it came to me after 6 months. I've been crocheting most of my life and my love for scented candles seem like the perfect craft and business to put together. I started the business in 2019 under a different name while I was working on my Bachelor's Degree. I now have the opportunity to. Well, since I was laid off December 2022 after 23 years at the same company, it seems as if this opportunity came at the right time. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to show my skills.
