I think of creating art as a "dreaming meditation". My interests in archetypal psychology, metaphysics, the natural sciences, and art history are also apparent in my works.
My explorations of painting began with oils on canvas, expanding to painting on panels, then carved wood, I now paint most frequently on panels or on layered plexiglass,. I tend to work in a manner of free-association, or sometimes from a collage or drawing... though everything changes once the painting begins. The best paintings, for me, are always those that create themselves.
