I have been making cold and hot processed soap and traveling to craft shows for over 4 years now and just love coming up with new soap ideas and meeting people.
I have a Bachelors in Graphic design and minored in electronic prepress and really got tired of the hustle & bustle of the business. While I was employed I slowly started a side business.
I became interested in soap making because of my own skin problem I've had since I was very young. Keratosis Pilaris is the inability to shed the skin properly, which causes red bumps to appear, mostly on the upper arms and upper legs. Now that my soap is the only thing that touches my skin, I have not had to hide under long sleeved shirts. My Keratosis Pilaris is gone!
In our busy day-to-day life we often put aside the finer things, like a simple bar of extraordinary soap. But a all natural, fragrant, soothing, handmade bar of soap is a simple pleasure that creates a feeling of relaxation and of being pampered as well as supporting a chemical free ecosystem and healthy skin.
