Been doing art since a small child. Took over 15 years of watercolor classes with Evelyn Wright of Stockton, California in her art studio with my wife, Sandy Ridley. We have been painting in oils and watercolor for several years. For the past 20 years, we have mainly been painting in watercolor. For the past few years, we have been teaching watercolor classes and workshops. Sandy teaches at the Elk Grove Fine Art Center on the 1st and 2nd Wednesday of each month during the day in Elk Grove, California. Ron teaches a beginning and internediate watercolor class in the evenings for the Elk Grove School District to Adults and Teenagers through Always Learning Arts and Crafts program, which is part of the Elk Grove Adult & Coummunity Education program within the Elk Grove School District.
Ron and Sandy have also attended several art workshops by famous artist such as Lian Zhen, Tom Fong, Joan McKasson and others. They attended the 2008 and 2009 Art Expo in Pasadena and meet several other artists and companies who manufacture are supplies.They share this knowledge with other students in Elk Grove, Lodi, Stockton, Sacramento and Neveda City. Students drive in from near by cities to come to their watercolor classes. Ron and Sandy have their student complete a painting, which they then can see under a white mat and have their picture taken with their finished work of art.
