Ronda Ray, Dallas, TX
The album was produced by Grant Walden. “No Coincidence” features guitarist Will McFarlane, formerly of Bonnie Raitt, and current member of the legendary, “Fame Gang,” at Fame Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals. The rest of the album tracks, including the singles, “It's Party Time” and “Freedom Song,” feature guitarist Kelvin Holly, long time guitarist for Little Richard. “I'm Over It” features stunning piano work by Mark Narmore who is best known for penning the country song, “Moon Over Georgia” for Shenandoah as part of the Fame Music Group.
The Covid-19 pandemic made it difficult to promote, “It's Party Time,” but Ronda felt it was more important to release this long anticipated album to give people hope during such an unprecedented time. To promote the album she toured throughout Texas, the Southeast and the Midwest with a grass roots campaign. She was featured on Texas Home Grown Radio, “The Road Less Traveled” podcast with Drew Meyers and “Music From Muscle Shoals, Then, Now and Forever,” hosted by David Havens on WFMC Jams.
Ronda is currently signed to an indie label, 4818 Records. She is ready to get back on the road in 2022 with a brand new album produced by three time Grammy Award winner, Gary McGrath. The album was recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios and features McGrath on guitars and bass, Guyton Sanders (The Vandoliers) on drums and Dean Minnerly (Three Dog Night and Aretha Franklin) on keys. A major press campaign is set to launch towards a spring release.
Ronda's voice is often compared to some of the greatest women in rock n roll – Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Nicks.
Ronda's live shows are nothing short of a party! She has one goal – to make you feel good! You are guaranteed to have an amazing experience, be inspired to live your dream and make memories you will never forget!
