The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is a major world-class music and cultural event that recognizes Canada's history and debt to the Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police; attracts tourists; educates youth through workshops and participation; and stimulates Canadian patriotism. First presented in 1979, the week-long production attracts about 60,000 attendees annually and is the world's largest annual indoor show. The cast of the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo includes people of all ages and backgrounds. Featuring military, police and civilian performers, the show is a true partnership, which takes place the first week of July in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
