First, the name. After having two boys, my parents were excited to have a girl. With our last name being "Dubey", my Dad jokingly asked my Mom if they could name me "Ruby". While that request was quickly denied, the name stuck as a silly tale for me to tell through the years. I sadly lost my Dad in 2009. He was a Vietnam Veteran and my best friend. His name was Richard. Pair Ruby Dubey with Richard Dubey - and you get the "RD" logo and the company name comes full circle. It's a tribute to my Dad. Love and family are at the heart of everything I do.
Which brings me to the kitchen! If one room was ever to be devoted to love and family it would be the kitchen. Blessed with my Dad's kooky sense of humor and my Mom's passion for cooking, this is where I make my best (and sometimes worst) creations.
While I currently work in the IT field, I started in cosmetics as a makeup artist. I have a love of high quality beauty products and higher quality skincare products. All of my creations start with a coconut oil base. While some have other properties, like olive and jojoba oils (etc.), they all have at least some coconut oil. Simply because it's THAT amazing.
