We create gem jewelry and accessories literally from the ground up. While most jewelry makers buy their stones or beads, we travel the country to mine gems and stones by hand, then cut them ourselves and manipulate silver and copper to create custom pieces. We have been able to recreate lost treasures from the past, romantic gifts, and bohemian touches from casual leather-wrapped stones to elegant faceted precious gems. We have brought an unusual art form to our region because our area of the country has few lapidaries and even fewer faceters. We also teach children (and adults!) about the science/history of stones, about mining and stonecutting. It's an amazing feeling to know you are the first human to ever touch a stone! And then to bring it from an 'ugly rock' to a sparkling jewel is a tremendous pleasure.
