Sakumuna means “to bless” in Kikongo- a language spoken in several countries in central Africa. This World Afrofusion musical collective was formed by a group of friends with diverse cultural background. Their performance is a mixture of Western and Central African genres with Funk grooves, Reggae roots, Soul, Afro-Cuban beats, and house music elements. Mainly inspired by personal life experiences, their songs, which carry a message of hope, are in several languages such as French, Swahili, Kikongo, Lingala, and English. This group's joy is to bless the hearts and lives in their audience through their melodies, dancing, and story telling.
