Sand Scribbles, Half Moon Bay, CA
After years of using expensive artist tools, and getting a college degree, Supie Davis has found her favorite medium: sand, a stick and a camera. She's just sorry it took more than 40 years to learn what she already learned in the sand box at age three. But, like she says "this only proves you are never too old to be young again."
Supie shares that her inspiration has come from life experiences. From a young age she saw things differently and always tried to do things no one else was doing.
As much as she enjoys “working” at the beach, Supie says it is more fun with her four-legged friends. When people ask her if all the dogs in her photographs are hers, she laughs and says she is the servant of only one dog, Freedom, a 12-year old yellow lab. Supie is well known in the Bay Area for donating time and resources to the Humane Society, Relay For Life, and other organizations. She is also sought out to take end-of-life dog portraits at no charge, capturing the spirit of beloved pets in a way the owners can treasure forever.
Now living in Half Moon Bay, CA, her canvas (the beach) is the place she feels peace and fulfillment.
