A native of Mexico, I have been painting on silk with French dyes for 25+ years. My tropically-themed art reflects an escapist milieu, with a range of themes and subjects that encompass other world views and provocative locales including the Caribbean, gritty urban scenes, and adroitly executed figurative studies to home decor in wall hangings and pillows.
Likewise, I try to capture the lighter side of life, providing an interesting contrast to a life I've lived with both passion and conviction. I try to portray a pronounced tenderness in much of my artwork that embraces our inter-connectedness in some pieces and our unbearable isolation in others.
