Hi, and thanks for visiting. I am a Phoenix area musician playing traditional, classical, and popular music on the Celtic Harp. I play both solo harp music as well as both harp and Celtic Flute with The Strand, a popular local Irish band. Some of the places I've performed are coffeehouses, like Fiddler's Dream and Sozo Coffeehouse, festivals, like the Phoenix Irish Festival, the Flagstaff Folk Festival, and the Prescott Folk Festival, weddings, and private events.
CTHP stands for “Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner.” Therapeutic harpists are trained to use their music to provide and support a soothing and uplifting atmosphere, and some of the settings they can be found playing include massage and yoga studios, hospitals, assisted care, and hospice.Therapeutic music has been shown to decrease heart rate and blood pressure and increase the body's ability to send oxygen to all parts of the body. I completed my training through the International Harp Therapy Program, spending two years of study and internship. I have played in hospice units, neonatal ICU, assisted living programs for alzheimers patients, and accompanied massage and reiki sesssions. I hold reiki I certification. I am very blessed to be able to do this work.
