The Story Behind the Buttons
It all started in 2009 with a chronic illness that resulted in buttons saving my butt & mind. But it wasn’t until after my ileostomy pouch (bag outside my tummy) exploded in public in September 2011 where buttons saved my butt & mind that tilly’s button hut was born. That’s when I began making button bracelets because it was good therapy.
Each bracelet is handcrafted, antique or vintage, renewable and one of a kind. I use six strand Hungarian hemp, cord, and leather in a variety of colors. I offer sizes for children, teens and adults.
