I am a full-time special education lead at my school. Finding the mounding stress of COVID to be all-consuming and suffocating, I needed an outlet that took away the stress of education and the pain of Rheumatoid Arthritis. I found that for me, I had to find the silver lining in COVID. Therefore, I turned my passion as a "craftster" from a hobby to a dream with a leap of hope and faith. Being able to have a creative outlet has indeed improved my overall wellbeing. To see the happiness and joy that my crafts bring to people always lifts my invisible ceiling a little further, allowing my level of creativity to extend a little farther, challenge myself a little more, and put myself out there a little more. I struggle with severe anxiety and depression and never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought I would've had the strength and courage to chase my dreams.
