After my wife Terri and I retired to the Outer Banks, North Carolina, we started collecting shells. I got a part-time job as a tour guide showing the wild horses in Corolla OBX. I started making pendants out of shells to give to the kids on my tours. After a while, they got more and more sophisticated using finer materials and wrapping the pendants with artistic wire.
The idea quickly became a passion and we started creating various items from shells, pieces of shells, sea glass, driftwood and anything else we found on the beach that we could use in our art.
We chose the name "Simply Outer Banks" because it describes so well our crafts. Virtually everything we use to create our art is found on the beaches of OBX (The Outer Banks).
We love creating and sharing with others... we hope you enjoy.
