Spirit Matters Studio, established in 1997 presents inspired fine art oil paintings, color drawings and high quality Gliclee prints by Monica Armstrong. She has shown nationally in well over 100 exhibitions, received many awards and created murals on both coasts.
Grief stricken at the passing of her companion standard poodle, Monica created her first Pet SpiritPortrait to express the essence and personality of her dog Bijou. She captured the inner beauty and what Bijou meant to her for so many years. This process was very healing and lead to the decision to bring comfort to others through this art form. Her unique approach to Pet Spirit Portraits combines artistic skills with the ability to offer grief support to those who have loved and lost a beloved pet.
Monica is a certified Spiritual Director, Member of Spiritual Directors International and the Holistic Chamber of Commerce. She has been in private practice for 10 years. She presents Women ofSpirit"workshops and retreats supporting Women's Creativity and Spirituality. Co-author of "Your Shift Matters, Surviving To Thriving", she is in pre-publication of "Masters of Love, Stories for Pet Lovers".
