I'm originally from a small village in Cambodia, and I enjoy creating handmade jewelry using various beads and gemstones. Having just moved to northern Michigan with my husband, I've also discovered the often hidden beauty of Petoskey stones, incorporating them creatively in earring and necklace designs (after my husband polishes them, and he also makes them into some interesting non-jewelry items).
My fashion tastes are relatively simple and straight-forward, and consequently my jewelry creations are also somewhat modest. I often design by color and shape -- that is, I find similarly colored or wrought beads, stones, and findings, and put them together in a fashion that is pleasing to me. I then hope that my clients like what I like.
