he story behind the stones

posted April 13, 2018
The story behind the stones. All the stones for sale on our website started out the size of a tennis up to a waterfall water Mellon. The large rock was chosen sometimes from the look on the outside, but most were very plain looking and some were chosen just sort of by the feeling that they were going to be beautiful inside. The largest heaviest rocks were broken by using a larger rock down in a wash, if the rock was interesting on the inside the smaller pieces were hauled up to my studio / Casida where they were broken into smaller pieces by bigger rocks. Once again the rocks were broken into yet smaller manageable pieces and Tumbled for between 9 to 15 hours depending on the hardness of the stone which are based on the Moh Scale where diamonds are the hardest and talic is the lease softest Mineral
