The Stringtown Ambassadors got their start playing for tips on the streets of Asheville, North Carolina, drawing in listeners with their contemporary interpretations of Irish and Appalachian folk music. Their vision is to spread music wherever they go, and bring with them a modern perspective to the concept of tradition. The duo is made up of Arlo Blaisus on mandolin and voice, and Rosalind Parducci on fiddle, viola, and voice. They co-write much of their music, and bring influences of jazz and newgrass into both their original compositions and their arrangements of traditional tunes.
