Susan Maybery has longed to do what she enjoys -- giving gifts and making people happy.  Born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1949, Susan moved to Virginia at age 11, the daughter of a Marine, went through school and immediately began work at the age of 18.  Until she stopped working as a legal secretary 41 years later, she only expressed her talents through gift baskets to friends and family . . . making her happy to see their delight.  Her wonderful husband of 22 years , Phillip, is indeed her biggest supporter, as well as Mom, Ruth, who lives with them.  Susan is now running her business full time and lives in Virginia Beach, with Phillip, two cats, Mittens and Tabby, and their adopted Bichon, Bogey. Susan is a creative person, who for years wanted to follow her heart and create joy in her passion for self-expression through her gift baskets.  Her works are often noted for their unique style, elegance, and technique.  Susan has developed an innovative style, blending whimsy and humor with practicality.  Unusual items, yet sensible basics, combined with her flair for knowing what people like, make her work an excellent choice for a wide range of gifts.   Although Susan loves to express herself in her own visions of what she thinks people will like, she is also adept at creating items anyone could possibly want or ask for in a gift basket.  She loves to "shop," and will gladly take care of any gift shopping you want done that you may not have time to accomplish yourself.  Susan is so clever at finding "just that right gift" for each person, that family, friends and clients have often remarked, "How does she do it?"
