I began painting children faces at local festivals, I provide a book of designs for the children to chose. I use paints suitable and designed for face painting. Then a mother saw a cap I had made that I was wearing and asked to buy it. Several years later I began making and selling various products such as crochet:adult caps, novelty children caps, beach bags, coin purses, key chains, kitchen towel sets, nylon pan scrubbers, and bath sets including soap bags. My sewn products include: caps, aprons, swimwear pull overs, caps, kitchen mitts, aprons, table runners, bowl and cup holders for microwave heating, pillows, etc. My newest projects include making useful items such as bags, bottle carriers out of plastic shopping bags. My mother whom the shop was named, was the most creative and resourceful person I have ever know. Having to raise 16 children over many years she was an expert on creating something useful out of anything. She passed on some of her sewing and crocheting to my siblings and myself.
