Handmade glass beads, jewelry and a little info on Sylcraft

Do you enjoy making jewelry like I do?

I've really had a good time making jewelry from my handmade lampwork glass beads.  It makes each piece a unique one of a kind piece.  I'll bet there are many more of you out there that do the same thing.

I got started making jewelry in the early 1990's and then expanded into learning lampworking techniques to make handmade glass beads in the late 1990's.  That was back when no one knew much and we were all trying to keep in touch to help each other learn how to make lampwork glass beads without burning down the house!  Wink

Well, I'm still here as are most of the friends I made during the first few years so I guess we succeeded !

As time went on, I collected a LOT of my handmade glass beads even above what I sold on Justbeads.com or Ebay or Amazon.com and also began to collect a lot of "regular" glass beads to use in jewelry making.

In early 2003 my husband and I found a small house in Yakima Washington where we decided to set up our businesses.  He was an Optometrist (retired now) and I also give music lessons so we put both businesses in the building along with my bead store. It's a small building so we were pretty cramped for space but we made it work.

My husband retired in 2008 so I moved the rest of the music lesson business into his area and expanded the bead store.

It's been quite an experience and a LOT of work because I teach about 30-40 students as well as do the bead store.  It's been rewarding but expensive. ;-)  But, I'd do it again.

Visit my main site if you'd like to see more of what I do.
