Designed to support immigrant and refugee women qs the adjust to life in the United states, Fiberworks uses a mutual interest in the Fiber Arts as common ground for women of diverse backgrounds to meet, learn English and discover and utilize resources to build strong families, create a safe, supportive community, and realize their individual potential. Marketing the things they produce allows them a way to interact with the larger, non-immigrant community and develop entrepreneurial skills.
