Welcome! My name is Tami Van Pelt and my company is Carmel Canvas 71. I am a self taught mixed media, mosaic and jewelry artist. After having been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013 and no longer being able to work as a Certified Surgical Technologist, I decided to try my hand at art. In the past, I did silk floral arrangements for businesses and weddings, also self taught. Having said that, the transition to painting and mixed media art wasn't too difficult for me. I especially enjoy mosaics, fused glass, steampunk and altered art.
