Almost everyone has a special object or memento they treasure. These hand crafted bronze and stainless steel pieces define a space for such things. When one opens a lid, an interaction with the contents begins. When the contents are returned to the vessel, the interaction or ceremony is punctuated by closing the lid. Everyday actions can become sacred little rituals. I want to elevate treasured objects by encapsulating them and enhancing this very personal relationship. It is my intention to emphasize this “sacred space” by contrasting the old world feel of the exterior against the pristine interior.
