Family Bluegrass Music Based in Buffalo, New York, The Apen Family Band began performing publicly in 2010, bringing their upbeat brand of bluegrass, folk and country music to area coffee shops, charitable organizations and nursing homes. A close-knit family of seven, the Apen Family plays a wide repertoire of Traditional American music, all accompanied by acoustic instruments like the banjo, guitar, mandolin, and fiddle.
