I had too much time on my hands and was playing around on the computer making Christmas gifts for friends and family. When friends would ask me if I could put whatever I was designing at the time on a shirt for them I decided to do some research and figuring some things out, and see if I could sell to anyone else. The most asked question I usually get is how I came up with the nameThe Broken Flamingo. I have never been a “graceful” person. For as long as I can remember I have spent time with my foot or ankle in some type of cast or wrap complete with a pair of crutches. (I've collected at least 6 pair over the years) Because of that I often stand on one foot without even realizing it. When it came time to name the company, The Broken Flamingo was the obvious answer.
