The J.O.B. from Richmond, Virginia is a band on a mission to touch the lives of everyday people with their music. Founded by Jim O'Ferrell and Jason Crawford in 2007 between O'Ferrell's deployments to the war in Iraq, their focus was to record original songs inspired by Jim's wartime experience. The J.O.B. has since evolved into a powerhouse alternative rock band with Americana roots and a blues soul. Drummer Eric Bandy joined the band in 2014, and in 2016, bassist Jared Merrill signed on and rounded out the distinctive sound the band has today.

The J.O.B. has performed over 220 shows in 12 states and Washington DC.
Festival events include the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Best Ranger Competition, Hero Appreciation Day, RVA East End Festival, Richmond International Film & Music Festival, UCI Road World Championships, Rites of Spring Wine Festival, Carytown Watermelon Festival, Carver Day Festival, WinterFest, Chesterfield County Fair, and most recently the 7th Annual BrewJAM Craft Beer & Music Festival.
The J.O.B. has recorded 6 studio albums and achieved national Top 40 ranking for three singles.
Their latest full length album, “Highway of Shadows” is in rotation on over 130 college and independent radio stations in the US and Canada and was selected by The Auricular as one of the “50 Best Richmond Records of 2018”

The J.O.B. arrives ready to perform up to a 3 set / 3 hour show with their own complete PA sound system, stage lighting, and FOH live sound engineer. They can also adjust sets and show times to accommodate any venue, festival, or event situation.
