The Perry Gerber Band, Lincoln City, OR

Member Since: January 6, 2016
Festival biz experience: 9+ years
Lincoln City, Oregon
Perry Gerber is a local celebrity in Lincoln City, Oregon and is well known for his family business Gerber Tires. Over the last 35 years, his passion for playing music provided him the opportunity to tour with Sara Evans and The North Santiam Band. That era included opening for Willie Nelson and Tim McGraw. This homegrown musician plays regularly with his cover band The Ocean, backs up coastal celebs like Bret Lucich and Michael Dane, and tours the Casinos and McMenamins with Jimmy Bivens Band.

People respond to his beautiful and melodic voice. He crafted tuneful songs about life and journeys, love and heartbreak. A great entertainer, Perry has a knack for pulling the crowd into his music. His incredible energy on stage engages the audience with his soulful tunes. His original song Sandy Beaches landed him a spot as an emerging artist with Supercuts – 'Rock The Cut' campaign, being featured in over 2000 locations nationwide.

Lisa Mann (2015 Blues Music Award winner/2016 Nominee and Cascade Blues Association Hall of Famer) adds her dynamite bass grooves and perfect harmonies to these passionate songs. Lisa Mann says, “ Perry has such a strong sense of how to make a song live and breathe. It's been a real pleasure working with someone who not only cares about a song, but also knows how to deliver it with energy and finesse.”

Producer John Neff (Journey, Steely Dan and David Lynch) says, “I really like Perry's music. It is from the heart music, and that stems from what a great person he is.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Perry on this project, and I hope to work with him again.” Skip Von Kuske, (Portland Cello Project) delivers an emotional performance on ANGEL with a finesse that must be heard. LaRhonda Steele performs gospel harmonies while Carl Smith (Crazy 8's) adds percussion to SHA LA LA.

The scope of this CD highlights Perry's hard-hitting rock acoustic guitar strumming but also brings attention to his gentle finger picking and percussive playing style. The words are thought provoking and meaningful and are emphasized by his beautiful story telling and vintage sound.
