The Tacketts joined Stanley Music Group, Nashville in 2016. The Tacketts' 7th project - “Stand My Ground” – produced five charting singles, with their music being heard on Christian radio and Music Row/mainstream country. The Tacketts opened for country music's Eli Young Band in June 2018. The Tacketts were voted 2017 Country Gospel Group of the Year in the Big CCN Christian Country Virtual Music Awards and were a Top Five Nominee for Christian Country Group of the Year for the Diamond Awards in 2018, 2017 & 2016.
Background: Husband and wife Jeff and Sarah Tackett and their band, Powell Creek Junction, carry on a long tradition of tight musical harmonies. Smooth on both guitar and piano, Jeff began touring the US at age eight with his family's Shelby, OH-based gospel group, “The Tackett Family,” sharing their music ministry from 1979 to 1994. This preacher's kid then launched a solo country career. Jeff's rich country vocals of are the perfect blend with Sarah's tender voice that touches the heart and spirit. Sarah was Miss Ohio 1989, a talent award winner in the Miss America Pageant, and has a background in musical theater, TV and radio commercials, and voice-overs. She's been a featured speaker and emcee for special events and women's conferences. The Tacketts live in Defiance, OH, have four children, and their talented band members come from all across the region.
