The journey of The Tired Nurse began as my side hustle, a creative outlet amidst the demands of nursing and family life. However, life took a turn, and in December 2020, I lost my father after his courageous battle with renal failure and other illnesses. Then, in September 2021, faced with the overwhelming chaos of the "pandemic," I made the tough decision to leave nursing behind and take my decade-long side hustle to the next level, turning it into my full-time passion.
Crafting has been my solace since 2011, and it brings me immense joy to see how my hobby has blossomed into a successful career. As a nurse, I've witnessed the essence of healthcare getting lost, where individuals are often overlooked, and the focus shifts solely to healthcare dollars. I believe in putting the patient at the center, acknowledging their physical and mental well-being as interconnected components of true health.
My one-nurse-show has grown and grown, and this year (2024) I am happy to say that my oldest daughter and my daughter-in-law have joined our business ,as have my son and two close friends. We are super excited to watch new creations come to our product line as they each bring their individual creativity to life I with the addition of fun ,new products for you to enjoy.
Our creations at The Tired Nurse are more than just products; they are reflections of our values and dedication to promoting mental and physical wellness. Many of my items are designed to address stress, anxiety, PTSD, MST depression, insomnia, and more. We believe that when we neglect one aspect of our health, the other is bound to suffer as well.
