Michael Wirth, the Upstart Potter has been creating stoneware and porcelain outdoor works for 20+ years from his studio at home. A familiar craftsman at North Carolina's arts and craft shows for years. Recently relocated to the mid-Hudson River Valley to be closer to family. Michael produces tuned wind chime vessels with tuned chimes, curved tube bird feeders, and fly-through feeders glazed with his own mixed glazes that are brushed on the work, never dipped. Each piece must be unique and of high quality, seconds are never sold, but destroyed. As a craftsman, I owe that much to my buyers, that have supported me and family over the decades.
